My Dallas buddy with the Rayfield Wright/Golf dilemma got let off the hook when Wright had to cancel, and was replaced by Dixon Edwards. Edwards was a dependable linebacker in the 90s, and according to my friend he's one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet.
He's also won as many Super Bowls as he's played games of golf (three), so instead of being thrust into an epic internal battle between pride and humility, my guy got to play some mediocre golf and get away with it.
Also, Dixon Edwards' middle name is "Voldean".
